Wash bottles have many uses in the chemistry laboratory. They are most commonly used to store and dispense distilled water. This distilled water can be used to dispense distilled water whenever it is needed in an experimental procedure, as well as to provide a final rinse when glassware is washed at the end of an experiment.

The FD-660 Infrared Moisture Analyzer measures moisture content through the detection of weight loss by heating & drying. It is extremely similar to the Loss on Drying Test, one of the official standard measurement methods, forming the basis of measuring moisture content.
